FRANCHI HORIZON – First ever rifle production

Franchi was established in 1868 in Brescia by the Franchi family. In 2011 Franchi relaunched their new identity; new logo, new products and a new image. For the first time, in 150 years, Franchi introduces a bolt-action Rifle. The HORIZON, was a project with the idea of having Ergonomics, precision and essential lines as essential pillars.

Having a glass-fibre reinforced Techno polymer stock, being ergonomic according to the Exclusive Style (XS) platform which is all common with the Franchi Line. The recoil pad, has three different lengths and reduces up to 50% of the recoil, thanks to the TSA (Twin Shock Absorber) system. The rifle estetique characteristics in “all black”, having an all-weather aggressive look.

The idea uses one action for all calibres, 243 Remington, .270 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield, .308 Winchester, and another one for calibre .300 Winchester Magnum having the perfect calibres for an all-round practice whether hunting or target shooting. The barrel, action and the three-front locking lug bolt are machined from one solid block by means of the most modern technologies. The mounts for the scope are identical to the Remington 700 pattern. The cold hammered forged chrome and molybdenum steel barrel is free floating and is 560mm long for all calibres, thus the .300 Winchester Magnum being 610mm. It can be ordered with or without metallic sights and with a ½’ thread pitch threaded barrel. The direct trigger is adjustable from 900grams to 1,800grams and an option of having a set-trigger is also available.

The HORIZON embarked Franchi for their all new adventure, to discover the horizons whom only a few have discovered but still a desire for the majority.
