SAUER 404 Classic – A rifle with much to offer

Those who believe in traditional gun making values, for sure looks for a classic reliable rifle. We explore the SAUER 404 Classic rifle, which is a perfect entry rifle bearing a legendary name for when it comes to rifles.

It boasts an ERGO LUX stock with grade two walnut and an aviation-grade high-alloy aluminium receiver, thus being strong but still light for fast practical manoeuvres. Strong 6-lug bolt locks directly into the barrel and having twin case ejectors for a precise synchronised perpendicular ejection.

The S404 Classic benefits also from the SAUER Quattro trigger benefit, with a choice of four trigger pull weights; varying from 550g, 750g, 1000g and 1250g. The trigger benefits also adjustment to the length-of-pull and a left-to-right swivel range variation of 5 degrees by means of a torx key.

The bolt head can be easily changed from a standard to a magnum calibre, while the SAUER universal key (SUS), is integrated into the front sling swivel. The SUS is needed to remove the forend and buttstock and barrel removal.

The S404 Classic can be configured in various calibres, .243 Win, 6,5×55, .270 Win, 7×64, .308 Win, .30-06 Spring., 8×57 IS, 9,3×62 for the respective medium calibre group. Magnum calibres in 7 mm Rem. Mag., .300 Win Mag., 8×68 S, .338 Win. Mag., .375 H&H Mag. and in .404 Jeffrey.
